Its mission is to build the world’s largest free repository of tactile graphics, created and refined by a global community of educators, designers, and accessibility advocates to make learning more tangible and accessible through touch.
Our Connection to American Thermoform and Zychem Limited
The Tactile Library is made possible through the collaboration of American Thermoform and Zychem, two leaders in tactile graphic production and accessibility technology.
American Thermoform has been a trusted leader in braille and tactile graphics production solutions since 1962, delivering innovative products that enhance learning for visually impaired individuals worldwide.
Zychem was formed in 1991 and is the creator of Swell Touch Paper and the Swell Form machine—industry-leading tactile graphics solutions that enable the creation of raised-line images for educational and everyday use.
Together, American Thermoform and Zychem support the Tactile Library’s mission by providing the tools and expertise needed to ensure every graphic is optimized for tactile learning.
