Description

A neon fish, or neon tetra, is a small aquarium fish, typically 1.5 inches long, with a slender body featuring a bright iridescent blue stripe running from its nose to its adipose fin, and a second bright red stripe below it, extending from the middle of its body to its tail. These peaceful, schooling fish, which originate from the Amazon basin, are known for their vibrant colors but can fade to a dull gray at night.
